2016 NWIRA Regatta - Winnipeg won the Sir Thomas Lipton Cup at Kenora

For the 29th time in its history, the Winnipeg Rowing Club won the Sir Thomas Lipton Cup at the 113th Annual North Western International Rowing Association (NWIRA) Championship Regatta held on Rabbit Lake in Kenora on August 19th and 20th. Winnipeg is closing in St. Paul’s 35 times in winning the Lipton. As St. Paul and Winnipeg battling out for first and second, Long Lake Rowing Crew earned enough points to finish a solid third in their first year as a member of the association. Regina and Duluth contended for fourth and fifth place with only a one-tenth of a point between them.
